Summer Invitation and Update 2010

It has been a long time!   I am posting this along with an invitation to join me at the Rehoboth Outdoor Arts Festival, Rehoboth Beach, DE  August 7-8 and 14-15, 10-5 (all days).  I will have recent paintings and my newest favorite, "Carousel Dreams" (oil, 20" x 24").  It is a great time to be at the beach--hope you can make it!

Summer Update

Just got back from the Rehoboth Art League Outdoor Arts Festival. It was my first year to get juried in and participate in this two day annual event. It was great--there were 120 other artists, great weather and fun visitors. Truly a great experience and I look forward to doing it next year.

Also, good news from MFA yesterday. I got juried into the Summer Landscape show which runs August 19 - September 13. The artist reception is this Sunday from 3-5pm. If you're interested in coming, let me know and I will give you the address. I'll be there.

I saw this sheep at a workshop I attended this spring. I was inspired and painted him last week--he has kind eyes!

Think Spring! Gordon's Pond

I am ready for spring! This painting was started on site near Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and finished in my studio. Although I did it last fall, the colors just make me think of warmth and freshness. A Chesapeake View

This painting is called "Chesapeake View" (24 x 36). I started it on site and finished it in the studio. I like the way it turned out with rich color of the season.

Blue Skies (Eastern Shore)

Early fall weather allowed for great painting outside. The colors were beautiful and I tried to capture the dramatic skies in my work. (Blue Skies, (8 x 10). 12/6 This painting was juried in to the Yellow Barn Gallery Show. There are over 100 paintings in this show and it runs December 6 - December 15, 2008. This painting sells for $550 through the Yellow Barn Gallery.
